Join the RiverQuest crew for special 90-minute

RiverWorks Discovery-themed tours focused on our river

resources from two different standpoints.

At 11:00am, set sail to explore "Rivers of Life" and the biodiversity of life in and around Pittsburgh's rivers. Learn how people have depended upon Pittsburgh's rivers throughout history and why our rivers are worth preserving.

At 2:00pm, embark on a tour of the "Nautical Road" to explore the basics of river navigation, locks and dams, and maintaining navigable river channels. Learn how barge transport compares to railway and highway transport.

Each Scout Days sail is $5 per person, and designed for Scouts grades 4 and up.  Nautical Scout Days are made possible by support from the Port of Pittsburgh Commission.
