Tour World's First Green Education Boat

at EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta

RiverQuest EXPLORER will appear at various locations downtown during the upcoming EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta!

After serving as the site for the Regatta's press conference on June 17, EXPLORER will offer walk-through tours of the new vessel throughout the Independence Day weekend, July 3-5, 2009.

 
Hot tip: Businesses can support RQ and get a Tax Break  
 

RiverQuest is eligible to receive contributions from approved businesses under the Commonwealth's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, a part of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Businesses can receive a tax credit of up to 90% of their contribution. A simple one-page application found at www.newpa.com/eitc is required. EITC tax credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Business applications for fiscal year 2009-2010 will be accepted by DCED beginning July 1.  And please share this newsletter with colleagues who might also be interested in supporting the RiverQuest mission!

 
 

 
 
RiverQuest RIVER CAMP with Carnegie Science Center

Here comes summer vacation!   This summer, RiverQuest partners with Carnegie Science Center to present a brand-new RIVER CAMP, featuring the new vessel EXPLORER. Scheduled for July 13-17, this 5-day camp is open to kids ages 8-12.  Registration for River Camp is through Carnegie Science Center at 412-237-3400.
