HELP FLOAT OUR BOAT ON OCTOBER 4TH

The Pittsburgh Foundation will hold its 2011 Day of Giving on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, from 12:00 am until 11:59:59 pm. All donations made to RiverQuest at Pittsburghgives.org during that 24-hour period will receive a pro-rated portion of a match pool of funds, based on all donations received online during the Day of Giving event.

Only MasterCard and Visa donations received through Pittsburghgives.org during the 24 hours of October 4 will be matched for this event, and no donations by check, cash or stock will be accepted.

The minimum gift is $25. The maximum gift an individual can give per organization is   $10,000.   Your gift of any size will help RiverQuest continue the mission to connect people to the environment by way of Pittsburgh's beautiful rivers.  Thanks in advance for your support on October 4.

  RADical DAYS OPEN HOUSE AT RIVERQUEST: OCTOBER 1  
  RiverQuest will host our annual autumn RADical Day Open House on the boat at our dock on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11:00am - 4:00pm.  Stop by and check out the world's first green education vessel and take part in some of our favorite environmental science activities. Free to the public.  No tickets are required as the boat stays at dock. Please note: Carnegie Science Center is NOT free this day. As always, there is a charge to park in any of the Science Center lots.

  SATURDAY SAILS CONTINUE THROUGH OCTOBER 29  
  Saturday Sails exploring the basics of Marcellus Shale activity continue through Saturday, October 29.  Sail times are 11:05am, 12:35pm, and 2:05pm.  Sails on October 15, 22 and 29 also feature fall foliage science and activities.  Tickets $5.95 - $7.95, available at Carnegie Science Center.  (Note, no sails on Saturday, Oct. 1.  See above.)
