We asked a Math Logic Riddle:

IF we had only 1 student come on board in 1995,

and THEN in each following year the number of students boarding

the vessel was double the total from the year before (2 come in 1996, 4 come in 1997...)

How many students would be coming on the boat in 2010?

This is one of those math questions you have to read very carefully to see how complex -- or simple -- it really is. In mathematical terms, the answer is simply 2 to the power of 15.  Alternately, you can set up a chart and do the math to get your answer.

With this scenario, we would be expecting 32,768 students onboard in 2010. That would be quite a school year!  In reality, we're expecting to total about 5,000 school students for the calendar year 2010.

New question next time!
