2007: Year in Review
Another Eventful Year on the Water

This has been an exciting year for RiverQuest, full of challenges and opportunities.  As we ring in the New Year, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you a snapshot of RiverQuest accomplishments for calendar year 2007. 

RiverQuest School Programs served more than 4,000 students.

RiverQuest Teacher Programs served nearly 200 teachers.

RiverQuest's Public Adventure Sails attracted 500 passengers.

RiverQuest activities at events served an additional 1,500 visitors.

RiverQuest welcomed Jim Roddey as new Board President.

We hope you'll join us on the rivers in 2008.  Happy New Year!

RiverQuest Summer Camp Schedule - coming soon
It's never too early to look forward to summer!  The RiverQuest 2008 Summer Camp schedule will be posted online in mid-January, with popular camps like Bugs & Boats and River Science Camp, and more, with programs designed for kids ages 5-17!

RiverTales Come to Your School!
Available through March: hands-on 45-minute classroom-based, environment and river-themed activities for elementary school students can come to your school. Each program is adapted for grade levels ranging from K-6, and provides a  perfect lift from the mid-winter classroom doldrums!

On January 31, 1956, a B-25 bomber on route to an air force base in Harrisburg, PA, crash-landed in the Monongahela River, just downstream from the Homestead Grays Bridge.  For decades, the "ghost bomber" has inspired debate over what the plane may have been carrying, and whether or not the wreckage was recovered from the river.
